The original and prequel trilogies are worthwhile viewing. The sequel trilogy, however, presents a different case. While George Lucas provided story treatments during the 2012 sale, these were ultimately discarded. The sequels also marked the end of the Expanded Universe, removed from canon to allow creative freedom for filmmakers. Given that the stories deviate significantly from Lucas’s original vision, is there really a compelling reason to watch them?

I think watching the new ones somehow ruined the originals for me as well… Like it ripped off the nostalgia goggles or something.

I have a hard time getting through any Star Wars movie (or show or game etc) these days.

Weirdly it made me like the prequels a lot more. I still.love the original trilogy. But I don’t check out any new Star Wars stuff past the sequels.

Edit: I forgot about Rogue One, I like that one. It has its flaws, but imho it’s the best Star Wars Movie outside the original tilogy.
