I use fossify phone too and that happens whenever I hit the home button during a call. The phone app doesn’t show up in the notification bar nor in the task list. Pretty annoying. I’ve tried some alternatives but from what I can tell they come with their own, even more glaring issues.

Uses the calamares installer, comes with all neccessary tools and, above all, is the safest bet if you need all KDE components to work properly. Makes enough sense to me but I’m biased since it’s my daily driver too 😅 It’s my first distro where genuinely so far “everything just works”. I’ve had a much better experience than with stuff like Mint or Pop or whatever else people usually recommend.

I just keep a Windows partition on my PCs for those few occasions where I need it. Usually about a tenth of the drive. For most stuff you can mess around with a vm or wine too but this way is easier imo. And realistically Windows 10 will be fine to use for the forseeable future. It’s still possible to use XP securely even today.

I love beans! The burritos I make usually contain some baked tofu and onions, brown rice and refried as well as whole beans. They’re like at least 70% bean 😄 Best way to get some protein in when you prefer plant based foods.

I’m sorry to hear that. It often gets much better with age though! I’m 29 now and I can eat most stuff without feeling any aversion. It’s more that I prefer my safe foods but I can thoroughly enjoy other meals too. Cooking can still be tricky sometimes but I don’t let that ruin my diet. I hope your son can find a calorie-dense safe food. My go to in that regard are almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and if all else fails gummy bears.
