I mean this is the best way for them to implement Manifest V3 with the least resistance as possible. People will be noticeably desensitized / care less when they will finally begin the transition for real. Obligatory fuck you Google ofc.

When they go forward with this, ad and privacy blocking will stop working and people will be pissed off enough to switch to Firefox

Partly true. If I’m right there is already an UBo for V3 and it’s capable to block ads, although not as efficiently. If nothing major change happened with V3 that may affect this earlier V3 UBo the adblocking will still work (but poorer).

Use Firefox and won’t have to deal with this BS at all. Or even preferably LibreWolf (It’s basically Firefox on steroids, it removes all the junk and makes significant privacy improvements compared to stock Firefox. LibreWolf also comes with uBlock Origin pre-installed)

Free yourself as well as your browser and stop supporting Google’s monopoly!

Btw: If you’re also looking for a better mobile browser, Mull on Android is great, it’s hardened Firefox, pretty similar to LibreWolf.

I tried to use LibreWolf but Twitch wasn’t working. It would tell me I had an unsupported browser. Is there a solution to that? I did try to make it so my browser was recognized as Chrome but it didn’t solve the issue.

        Try following steps:

        • Go to the settings
        • Select the LibreWolf page in the settings
        • Under ‘Fingerprinting’ uncheck ‘Enable ResistFingerprinting’

        That should fix it.
